Fugro expands Blue Essence® fleet and gain highest level of MCA approval

We have expanded our 12-metre Blue Essence® uncrewed surface vessel (USV) fleet with the addition of Fugro Vaquita. This latest Blue Essence® has earned Category 0 approval from the UK Maritine Coastguard Agency (MCA), the highest level of approval for autonomous vessels, giving unrestricted access in UK waters.

Moving towards Net Zero with conversion of Fugro Pioneer

The Fugro Pioneer has began undergoing an exciting conversion to a methanol-run vessel as part of our ambition to achieve net zero operations by 2035. Green methanol is a perfect alternative to diesel for the kind of operations delivered by our survey and geotechnical investigation vessels.
